Who is E-Neko?

If you know me, you'll know that I have lots and lots of personas, little alter-egos, that I like to create. They're usually inspired by different parts of myself, which I compartmentalize into a single being.

E-Neko (let's just call him Neko for now) was created to be my "teacher persona" specifically for teaching comics to kids! At my old job, I created him to use during all my demos and he kind of became my signature partner in teaching.

I don't use him very much anymore in class, since at my new school I teach younger students as well as less comics, but Neko still holds a special place in my heart, and he's quite frankly very fun to draw!

Whenever I get locked into a comic making headspace, it feels he's my little buddy cheering me on.

Now I'm going to be featuring Neko in diary-style inspired comics about my experiences as an artist and teacher! Super fun! Im so excited to continue drawing him!

Sometimes I would use him outside of teaching as well! I proposed a few workshops/events at my old workplace and thought that it would be cute to use him as kind of a mascot for those events I ran. Here's a couple of them below!
